Jeanne Ellen Stofflet, 70, of Taunton, formerly of North Attleboro, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 16, 2022. She was the beloved wife of William J. “Bill” Stofflet.
Born on February 28, 1952 in North Attleboro, MA, she was a loving daughter of the late Leo and Fern (Bergeron) Chabot.
Jeanne grew up in North Attleboro and was a graduate of North Attleboro High School.
Her primary role was as a wife and mother, lovingly making a home for her family, but she also spent time working at the Wrentham Developmental Center. In her spare time, she enjoyed solving crossword puzzles.
In addition to her husband, Bill, she is survived by her devoted sons, William “Bill” Stofflet, Jr. of Danvers, MA and David Stofflet of South Carolina. She also leaves her cherished grandchildren, Natasha DeCosta, Katie DeCosta, David Stofflet, Jr., Jack Stofflet, William “Billy” Stofflet III, and her great-grandchildren, Lilliana Lara and Keaton Stofflet.
She was the mother of the late Sherry Barstow, the great-grandmother of the late Callia DeCosta, and the sister of the late Georgette Chabot, Albert Chabot, and Peter Chabot.
Her funeral service, to which relatives and friends are most kindly invited to attend, will be held on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at 10:30 AM in the Sperry & McHoul Funeral Home, 15 Grove Street, North Attleboro. A time for visitation will be held prior to the service from 9:30 to 10:30 AM.
Interment will be in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
