Jeanne Marie Purdy, 73, on June 3, 2022

PAWTUCKET – Jeanne Marie Purdy, 73, of Pawtucket, former longtime resident of North Attleboro, and formerly of Boston, Attleboro and Orlando, FL, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 3, 2022 at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. 

Born in Attleboro, MA on July 20, 1948, she was a loving daughter of the late William P. Wing II and Virginia (Williams) Wing.

Jeanne grew up in North Attleboro and attended North Attleboro High School. She later furthered her education and obtained her degree in nursing from Laboure College in Boston.

With thirty plus years of nursing experience, she was employed as an LPN at New England Sinai in Stoughton and went on to become an RN and held the position of head nurse for Norwood Dialysis in Norwood. She was also employed for many years as a case manager for United Healthcare.

Jeanne loved traveling, Florida being her favorite destination where she had a timeshare in Orlando. A strong woman of faith, she was a member of the Crossroads International Church, formerly the South Attleboro Assembly of God, since 2001. Her most valued times however, were those spent in the company of her adoring family and her friends.

She is survived by her devoted sons, Derrick Wing of North Attleboro, Daryl Wing of Pawtucket, RI, and Douglas Spikes of Pawtucket, RI. She leaves her cherished 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She also leaves many nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends. She was the former wife of Lawrence Purdy of Sanford, FL.

She was the mother of the late Dana Wing Brown and the sister of the late Virginia Wing and William P. Wing III.

A memorial service in celebration of Jeanne's life, to which relatives and friends are most kindly invited to attend, will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at 10:30 AM in the Crossroads International Church, 1052 Newport Avenue, South Attleboro (directly across from Cardi’s Furniture). A reception will immediately follow the service in the church hall. Interment will be held privately at a later date and visitation has respectfully been omitted.
