Guy W. Doble 08/04/2017

Guy Walter Doble

Guy Walter Doble died peacefully at home in South Carolina after an extended fight with cancer on August 4, 2017.

Guy was a true hero. As a young man, Guy served two tours of duty in the Marine Corps during the Vietnam War from 1968-1970. In adulthood, Guy was an active member of the community holding a lifetime membership to the North Attleboro Elks 1011, was an Associate member of the Murrells Inlet Elks in South Carolina and was a lifetime member of the VFW in North Attleboro. He spent many hours serving other veterans holding cookouts and facilitating monthly Bingo games sponsored by the BPOE North Attleboro Elks. Guy spent many times enjoying his wife and family, traveling with family and friends, and playing cards, horseshoes, and Keno.

Guy leaves many family members. He was the beloved husband of 47 years to Dianne Marie Auclair Doble, father to Gregory John Doble and was “favorite” father in law to Anne McCormack Doble, and father to the late Michael Guy Doble. He leaves four beloved grandchildren; Michael Dylan Doble, Diandra Alexis Doble, Sarah Elisabeth Doble, and Ella Katharyn Doble, always readily sharing his Drumsticks with them.

Guy was the son of the late Walter Doble and the late Barbara Gardner Doble, the brother of Lorraine Doble Bennett of North Attleboro, brother of Gail Nimiroski of Belfast, ME. He was also the brother of the late Sandra Doble LaValley and Stephen Doble. Guy also leaves a loving brother in law, Brian T. Auclair, and extended family including many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Burial will be private at the Bourne National Veterans Cemetery with full military honors.

I am so, so sorry Dianne to hear about Guy's passing. I know what a wonderful marriage you shared together....so many fun stories you use to share with me when I was your hair stylist. As I read the obituary, I also saw that Michael had passed...again, so sorry for your losses and the terrible grief you must have. Stay strong in God and lean on him! Your friend, Lynne Calderone
