NORTH ATTLEBORO – Pauline Cecile Marcure, 77, a longtime resident of Plainville died Thursday, February 9, 2017 at Sturdy Memorial Hopspital surrounded by her devoted family after a lengthy illness.
Born May 1, 1939 in Taunton, she was a daughter of the late Leon and Aurore (Tessier) Gousie.
Pauline grew up in Rehoboth and lived most of her life in Plainville. She attended East Providence High School.
She worked as a CNA at Epoch of Norton Nursing Facility and 17 years at Visiting Nursing Agency in Attleboro before retiring.
Pauline loved going on cruises and cruised to the Carribean many times. She also enjoyed flea markets, family yard sales and bowling. She loved time spent at family gatherings and her grandchildren were the light of her life. She was proud to have taught her grandchildren how to bowl and they’ve since become accomplished bowlers.
She is survived by her daughter Jeanne and husband Peter Fish of Plainville; her son Dennis and wife Karen Marcure of Attleboro; a sister Irene and husband Leo Magnan of Pawtucket, RI; a brother Roger and wife Laura Gousie of Rehoboth; six grandchildren: Nathan, Kyle, Michael, Jeffrey, Jessica and Kaleigh; a sister-in-law Geraldine Gousie of North Attleboro and several nieces and nephews.
She was sister of the late Richard Gousie.
Visiting hours will be held Saturday, February 18 from 9:30 -11:30 a.m. in the Sperry & McHoul Funeral Home, 15 Grove Street, North Attleboro. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home immediately after visiting at 11:30 a.m. Burial will be private.
