NORTH ATTLEBORO - Stanley F. Wisniewski, Jr. , 79, of Fales Road passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Eleanor (Sousa) Wisniewski for over 52 years.
Born May 8, 1937 in Central Falls, RI, he was a son of the late Stanley F., Sr. and Mary (Such) Wisniewski.
Stanley grew up in Central Falls where he attended St. Joseph's Elementary School and graduated from Central Falls High School.
He received an associate's degree in electrical engineering from the University of Rhode Island and worked as an electrical engineer at the Foxboro Company for nearly 30 years before retiring in 1987.
Stanley was stationed in France serving the U.S. Air Force from 1955 to 1959 where he was an instrument repairman on cargo and troop carriers.
He loved to travel, particularly cruises and went to many places such as Jamaica, Alaska and Panama.
He also liked fishing, hiking and canoeing on the Saco River in Maine and enjoyed fly fishing with friends.
He was a longtime member of the Wrentham Angler's Club.
In addition to his wife, he is also survived by his brother, Ronald T. Wisniewski of Pawtucket, RI and his brother-in-law Thomas H. Sousa and his wife Donna of Sonet, MA.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held in St. Mary's Church, North Attleboro on Friday, February 3, 2017 with burial following at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Attleboro Falls.
