NORTH ATTLEBORO - Ann E. Nisil, 82, of Elm Terrace passed away Tuesday evening, January 24, 2016 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital surrounded by her devoted family. 

Born April 22, 1934 in Attleboro, she was a daughter of the late Leighton Bilsborough, Sr. and Estelle (Rhynard) Bilsborough.

Ann was a lifelong resident of North Attleboro and a graduate of North Attleboro High School.

She worked as a CNA at Madonna Manor Nursing Home for 34 years before retiring nearly 20 years ago.

Ann loved to travel and went on numerous cruises to places such as Aruba, the Virgin Islands, Bermuda and Hawaii.

She also enjoyed trips to Foxwoods and Mohican Sun.  She was a generous woman who was known for always helping people.

She is survived by four daughters: Barbara Dowdall and husband Edward of Attleboro, Brenda Haley of Pawtucket, RI, Pamela Rice of Attleboro and Melissa Jacques and husband Billy of Central Falls, RI;

her brother Leighton Bilsborough, Jr. of Attleboro; a daughter-in-law Helen Rockett of Pawtucket; 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

She was mother of the late Edward L. Rockett and Shirley A. Barker and mother-in-law of the late Kevin Barker and James Haley.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday, January 30 from 5-8 p.m. in the Sperry & McHoul Funeral Home, 15 Grove Street, North Attleboro.  A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday, January 31 at 10 a.m. followed by burial at Mt. Hope Cemetery & Arboretum, Attleboro Falls.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the North Attleboro Animal Shelter, 43 South Washington Street, North Attleboro, MA 02760.

We are so sorry to hear about your mom. She was a good friend to us and especially to our mom. We were so glad we were able to see and be with her recently. Even though we cant be there you are all in our thoughts and prayers.
