Pearl Chase 12/31/2016

ATTLEBORO – Pearl D. Chase, 92, of Attleboro passed away Saturday evening, December 31, 2016 at Maples Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Wrentham.

  She was the wife of the late Lloyd Chase who died in 1993 and Alfred Chretien who died in 1978.

Born January 10, 1924 in Attleboro, she was a daughter of the late Chester and Jennie (Carlstrom) Roberts.

Pearl was a longtime resident of North Attleboro and a graduate of North Attleboro High School before moving to Attleboro in 1983.

She was a longtime employee at the former Newbury’s department store in downtown North Attleboro and worked several years for the Foxboro Co, C.J. Randall Co. and Whiting and Davis.

Pearl was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in North Attleboro.  She loved bingo, dancing and family events.  She also loved to travel and travelled across the country in her RV.

She is survived by four children: Rick Chretien and wife Deborah of Attleboro, Robert Chretien and wife Sharon of Texas, Cheryl Daszkiewicz of Attleboro and Brian Chretien and his significant other Sharon Costa of Norton; a daughter-in-law Karen Chretien of Montague;  Nine grandchildren: Jennifer, Jared, Ashley, Craig, Cameron, Lindsey, Tanya, Stephanie and Meaghan;  four great grandchildren: Landon, Addison, Amelia and Henry;

She was mother of the late David Chretien who passed away in 2008 and mother-in-law of the late Jack Daszkiewicz.

Visiting hours will be held Friday, January 6, 2016 from 6-8 p.m.  in the Sperry & McHoul Funeral Home, 15 Grove Street, North Attleboro.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 7 at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church, 75 Park Street, North Attleboro.  Burial will be held privately at Mt. Hope Cemetery & Arboretum.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Compassionate Care Hospice, 174 Dean Street, Suite B, Taunton, MA 02780.
