Father Delisle, you made my mothers stay at Madonna Manor and LaSallete extra special by your daily masses and presence, even when you were ill yourself. You are with mom on your eternal journey. Thank you for giving your blessings to my mother and everybody who you gave yourself to selflessly. May God be with you and my mother always. I know mom was waiting for you at the pearly gates with the rest of the Angels!

I met Dick Delisle as a young professed Sister in the late 60's, and who I met was an extraordinary man, priest, and friend. Dick was real...he was passionate, loved life, head over heels in love with God, and boldly honest about everything. When he celebrated the Eucharist, you were in Jesus' presence in a peaceful, and joy filled way. I can't wait to share a glass of wine with you, Dick, in the Kingdom! Rest!

So many memories of family retreats with you. Your smiling face was always uplifting. Your kindness to my Mom when you both were in Life Care meant the world to me. You will be missed and I'm glad I had you in my life.

Dear Father Delisle & Family: (3 of 3)
Padre Pio's Prayer Group 1995 began at the Shrine and Father Delisle loved Padre Pio and for what he stood for. He knew that all Padre Pio wanted was to have all the love be directed to Our Lady! Father Delisle volunteered to become the group's Spiritual Director.
So befitting to the La Salette Shrine ... A Marian Shrine! Now Father Delisle will for-see our group from heaven and he now can tell Padre Pio about his spiritual children at La Salette Shrine!
Yes, Who now can fill the shoes of this great giant of faith to carry on his mission?
We Thank his parents for his gift of life and we thank Our Lady of La Salette for calling Father Delisle to Her mission of love, reconciliation and peace!
That is Father Delisle's heart...a truly dedicated servant of God's people.
Welcome home my good and faithful servant!
Father Delisle you will always remain close to our hearts now and forever.

Dear Father Delisle & Family: (Part 2 of 3)
Tent Revivals: His joy to get down to the core of each one's soul to dig out the best in our hearts, to draw out of our souls the light of our faith. Don't hide your faith show it to God and share it with your family, friends and neighbors! "Oh! Don't forget to bring a bag full of can goods for our needy families! We must fill that truck! :)"

Dear Father Delisle & Family:

No one could ever imagine meeting such dynamic, charming, lovable, compassionate priest like Father Delisle... He is truly a servant of the Lord and Our Lady!
As years went on his health weighed heavy on him but he just kept on in his priestly missionary life. He persevered with joy!
He has a heart for the poor, lonely souls. His dedication to the Soup Kitchen Ministry at the Shrine was highly admired by many. He always broke a smile in a troubled visitor.
That is Father Delisle's heart...a truly dedicated servant of God's people.

Welcome home my good and faithful servant!

Father Delisle you will always remain close to our hearts now and forever.

Ray & Fatima Bigda

One of the most beautiful things Father Delisle said to me was this: “What helps me, wherever there is good, there is God. God is the source of all good. Wherever there is beauty, be it poetry, be it song, sunrise, sunset, a child’s face, wherever there is something beautiful, God is at the source of that.”

I loved those inspiring words. I told him more than once that I was always amazed that this man in his 80s -- who looked tired -- would step onto the altar and suddenly he was a rock star, speaking so strongly and with so much faith and power. he said that was the spirit working through him.

I Miss you so much and my love for you will remain till I come to you and see you again. I know that heaven is celebrating your arrival now and you will continue your service in other ways. Thank you for the gift of you. "where there is love and peace and good, there is God" you always told me and by that definition, I was always closest to God when I was with you. May God bless you on your new journey and protect you always. God bless you my friend.

Father "D", How can I say THANK YOU enough to you for being you. There has never been a human being like you in my life and never will be. You loved so unconditionally and gave so much of yourself even when you had little left for yourself to very end. In service to the world, in service to Mother Mary and Jesus and God. Your sense of humor and peace and love were supernatural. I am happy for God and for you having gone home to him...but so very sad by all those here you leave behind, so sad for me and for the world. Its a darker place without you in it. I know that your body could no longer contain your spirit but selfishly, I wanted you to stay longer.

To Tom Delisle and family. Sorry for the lost of your brother Richard. He was and is a great human being and priest.I had the privilege to live at the LA Salette Retreat House with Richard and have great memories of his dedicated priestly life. His humor, bear hug's and human Spirit for caring for other people brought much human healing to many individuals over the years.
Grateful for his life with us on planet earth,
Former, LaSalette Brother Moe Mercier
