Our thoughts and prayers are with Marie and her wonderful family. Having grown up next door and returned to the same neighborhood with my own family years later, I can sincerely say how fortunate I was to know Marie and the entire family over the last 50 years. Growing up next door to the LaCroixs meant always having a welcoming place to visit, and caring friends who were always ready to help. Later in life, I was really happy my children got to experience the neighborhood too and visit with Marie and Jim often. It gave them a better understanding of why I spoke so fondly of my childhood and the importance of having extraordinary neighbors. Marie will be greatly missed but through our fond memories and the legacy of Jim & Marie’s wonderful children and grandchildren …. she will never be forgotten.

Daughter of Lorraine & the Late Richard Sullivan, niece of late Marie E. Lacroix. I pray & send our deepest sympathys from the Sullivan family for our family & friends back East who will greatly miss such a gentle soul as my Auntie Marie. I remember our family trips back East, visitng family, going to the beach, shopping at the Silver shop. I'll never forget the spending time with my Auntie Marie & Uncle Jim cousins Ray & Sharon at their home which was always open, warm and charming place to visit. During the trip to the Silver Shop, I'd get another addition to my sterling charm bracelet. We would all visit Auntie Marie’s twin, my Auntie Anne in Worester, MA. For years Auntie Marie & Uncle Jim & family would remember us out in St. Louis with a holiday card from the East.
