Alice L (Perry) Potts, 92, Westford, Massachusetts, formerly of Sagamore Beach, MA
WESTFORD, MA – Alice Potts, died March 24th, 2016 at the Westford House in Westford.
Alice was born on 4 March 1924, in Somerville, MA, the daughter of Joseph and Alice (Kelly) Perry. She graduated from Hyde Park High School, in Boston. She was first married to Gilbert Floyd, which... “just didn't work out”... she then married Robert W Potts, who died in 1991.
She made homes in Hopkinton, Millis, Scituate and Sagamore Beach, MA. For many years she was the Avon Lady, she was a Librarian, and a Personal Health Care Attendant. She was proponent of Woman's Rights, working 'outside the home' all her adult life. She supported Civil Rights long before it was the 'in' thing to do, a member of the NAACP for years. She loved books, the beach, and the Universalist Church.
Alice leaves three children, Janyce A Eow and her husband Dr Teddy Eow, of Portsmouth, NH; R Bradley Potts, and his wife Diane Berner, of Westford, MA, and Kenten A. Potts and his ex-wife, Dianne (Sousa) Potts; 5 grandchildren: Greg (Tao Tao) Eow, Kathy Eow, Ashley Berner-Potts, Nathan Berner-Potts, and Ann Marie (Mitch) Scott; and 1 great-granddaughter. She also leaves her brother Robert Perry of Melrose, MA.
In addition to her husbands, she was pre-deceased by her siblings, Dorothy Cronin of Hyde Park, Edna Driscoll of Hyde Park, and Barbara Gerhartz Jaeschke of Wilmington.
